NECEPT Certification Important Information

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Please read the certification requirements in the relevant PennDOT publication listed below for your certification. Then select the appropriate type of certification from the dropdown menu for online registration, course materials, and agendas (if available).

Course Registration Deadlines

Applications and fees for courses must be received at least 15 business days prior to the course start date. All applications must be submitted online.

NECEPT ID#

If you have previously applied for a NECEPT certification course, you must use the NECEPT ID# that was previously assigned to you. Please contact NECEPT at 1-814-863-1293 or superpave@psu.edu if you cannot locate your NECEPT ID#.

Cancellations

Requests must be received in writing (email superpave@psu.edu) to NECEPT at least 15 business days before the first day of the course. A refund of the fee minus the $25 processing fee will be provided. No cancellation refunds will be provided for cancellations received 14 business days or less before the first day of the course.

Registrant Replacement

Requests must be received in writing (email superpave@psu.edu) to NECEPT at least 15 business days before the first day of the course. If PennDOT approval is required for the course, the replacement must also have PennDOT approval. NO replacements within 14 business days before the start of the course.

Transfer Registration to a Different Course

Requests must be received in writing (email superpave@psu.edu) to NECEPT at least 15 business days before the first day of the course. For a transfer of registration to a different course, requests can only be granted if seating is available. NO transfers within 14 business days before the start of the course.

Certification Renewal Cards for Asphalt

There is a separate application to apply for your asphalt renewal card. Attendance to an Annual Update/Refresher course does not include a new certification card. Links for certification card renewals are provided under each certification category's page. This applies to Asphalt Field, Plant Level 1, and Plant Level 2 technicians.

If an individual will be attending an Update/Refresher course and would like to receive his/her new card upon completing the class, the individual must register for the card before the 15-day course application deadline for the course.
